CLAY! Land of great talent, difficult land. But you know, on difficult lands great grapes are born. Clay and Lugana, a unique combination for the perfect squaring of the circle.
It is a stratified clay ours, of glacial origin and sedimentary nature, predominantly calcareous and rich in mineral salts. - It was formed during the last glaciation, the Wurmian, during which the immense glacier from which Lake Garda and, indeed, the clay basin of Lugana originated, retreated.
In our soils the percentage of clay exceeds 50 percent. A very high value but one that gives our Turbiana grapes extraordinary concentrations.
